Graduates from Coastal include Siyanda Xulu (Mamelodi Sundowns), Phumelelo Bhengu (Mpumalanga Black Aces) and Njabulo Manqana (Orlando Pirates).
The SAB regional league club will take on defending champions Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup last 32 round in Durban on Saturday night.
Club owner and coach Lindani Shezi said they were not concerned about the 24-0 annihilation of Regional League side Powerlines in the same competition last weekend.
“If Pirates score 24 goals, we will score more than 20 too. There will be no special treatment for Pirates, they are the ones who are under tremendous pressure,” said Shezi.
“I will fire the coach if we lose on Saturday.”
Shezi said the 24 goals scored by Mamelodi Sundowns against Powerlines showed “that for a change our players have regained their appetite for goals”.
Some of the experienced Coastal players include centre-back Vusi Khumalo, midfielder Steven Malishe, striker Sthembiso Msomi and attacking midfielder Sihle Nduli.
Coastal FC are no strangers to top-class opposition after featuring in a practice match with Ghana in the build-up to the 2010 World Cup.
“Saturday’s game is a platform for our players to secure themselves lucrative contracts,” Shezi said.
Pirates will pin their hopes on the likes of Benni McCarthy, Ndumiso Mabena, Tlou Segolela and Oupa Manyisa to offer a free soccer lecture to Coastal.
